Giorgi Jugheli

Doctor of law, professor and legal advisor of the Investors Council of Georgia. He graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and obtained both bachelor's and master's academic degrees. After that, he continued his studies at the University of Bremen (Germany), where he obtained an academic degree of Doctor of Laws in Corporate Law.

Since 2014, he has been engaged in academic activities at the Tbilisi Free University and lectures on corporate law.

Since 2016, he has been a legal advisor to the Investors' Council of Georgia, established with the support of the EBRD.

In 2010-2016, Giorgi Jugheli was a commercial law advisor to USAID's Judicial Independence and Legal Strengthening Project (EWMI-JILEP) and Legal Strengthening Project (EWMI-PROLoG).

Within the framework of the association agreement, Georgia undertook to bring closer and harmonize with the legislation of the European Union. For this purpose, on August 2, 2021, the Parliament adopted a new law "On Entrepreneurs", which came into effect on January 1, 2022. Giorgi Jugheli is the co-author of the mentioned law.
